God has opened so many doors for Discipleship Ministries over the years. During our early outreach, we traveled anywhere we were invited to preach the Gospel. Before we knew it we were traveling not only outside the State of Pennsylvania, but Internationally preaching as we witnessed poverty everywhere we went. This resulted in our ministry reaching out to the needs of the poor as we continued to witness for God.
Since, we have partnered with the United Methodist Church in feeding multitudes of orphans and needy in the Republic of Komi Russia. As of last year, Discipleship Ministries opened up our first in house orphanage in Homa Bay, Kenya supporting six boys and a woman that takes care of them while teaching them the ways of God.
We have taken food to a couple of homeless shelters in Athens Ohio and finally partnered with Fayette County Community Action Agency along with a few mountain churches in our community to start our first food pantry in Fayette County. We are currently helping to assist approximately thirty families in our own community monthly. Praise God!
